As a multidimensional, intuitive Black woman, I challenge social norms and cultivate a love for myself and others through nude modeling and poetry. Black nudity and sexuality are areas of healing for many Black women and mothers. My art is a devotion to healing and ascension. Art and poetry form a space where I can explore the shadow of myself and share my story with others. My story began when I had my daughter at 19, working as a dancer at a strip club while pursuing a better life. I started a career as an art model and fell in love with its climatic creation. Now, I am uncovering the story of Black nudity across the African-American diaspora and using figurative art, poetry, and curation as vehicles for the Black community to celebrate their bodies and understand how colonization has influenced our relationship with nudity, sexuality, intimacy, and social norms.
